20 tonnes of paper…

That’s what this News Limited report claims is what went into producing all the copies of the Rudd Government’s first Budget that are in circulation. In this age of electronica, I am surprised that PDFs copies weren’t used instead for general circulation, so that copies of relevant pages could be printed by agencies needing them. It’s not necessarily the inevitable waste of paper that puzzles me – just the sheer fact that there is so much paper that goes into producing these documents.
