A day of prayer for Zimbabwe

The Christian church in this strife torn nation is struggling with persecution and suppression as sects and traditional African religion is being elevated by the government. Andrew Robinson, a friend of mine and former workmate who is working with a church in Johannesburg, has spoken with a Zimbawean theology student and it’s clear that our brothers and sisters over there need our prayer support.

I’m leading prayers at my church on Sunday night and will ensure that this is a prominent concern that I bring to the attention of our congregation. Please join those who are similarly passionate to see God’s justice and peace rule in a nation that appears to be on the brink of civil disaster.
