Car rallies are fun

Not the ones where professional drivers slide their Subarus, et al. on gravel or snow, but orienteering on wheels. A few of us from church went on a fun trip that took us from the church car park to the Crosslands picnic area in Hornsby Heights, via the wonderfully tight and twisty Galston Gorge. It was a good exercise in keen observation and, whilst there were points to be won for correctly finding different objects and landmarks, the fun culminated in a leisurely lunch and some croquet (where I did anything but excel).

If you and your friends are looking for an inexpensive and fun activity where you’ll get to know each other better, a car rally is a great means of doing so. Just make sure you keep your eyes totally peeled, otherwise you may be going around in circles very quickly and very often.
