Michael Clarke withdraws from Indian Premier League

Macquarie Radio’s news service reports that Brad Haddin and Mitchell Johnson have also opted out to solidify their international careers, thus forgoing the chance to earn big bucks.

Considering the form that Pup is in at the moment, this move may be a positive one in terms of building on his billing as a future Autralian captain by showing his loyalty to international cricket. Mitchell Johnson’s recent form, especially in the current tri series, has been very encouraging and he looks to be cementing his spot as a world class bowler. Haddin’s chance to cement his place as Australia’s new top keeper will come, but we know he’s a quality player.

All 3 would have brought some great entertainment and skill to the competition, but in my opinion they’re probably wise for not letting the money talk. Guess I’ll have to change my Fantasy IPL team a bit…
