Intentional music ministry

Dan makes some fantastic points in his blog regarding how important goal setting and planning is for music ministry. I know that sometimes with my role in music ministry it can be easy to fall into a pattern of thinking about short term goals, but just like the head ministry team of a church will often plan several years ahead, it’s important for those of us who are music leaders to consider that far into the future, to identify future members of the team and to have a direction in line with that which the church wishes to go down.

  1. I agree, all ministry needs to be intentional, the problem is that we are always so pragmatic, wanting to do what works NOW! We need to make good plans for the future, and keep the decisions of now in line with that vision of the future
